Ignite Service Concluding

Following the Community Thanksgiving Service on November 23rd, Briarcliff UMC will no longer be offering the Ignite Worship contemporary service. On November 30th, we will transition to having just one worship service on Sundays with the hope that all our current Ignite Worship members will continue worshiping with us on Sunday mornings at 11:00am. If you have any questions about the change in worship schedule, please contact Rev. Jones or Rev. Lawson at the church office.

Have You Turned in Your Pledge Card?

The staff and lay leadership are diligently working on the 2009 church budget.  We depend on feedback from the congregation to make ministry happen.  If you have not turned in your pledge card we urge you to do so.  If you have, thank you.  The church council will vote on the final budget proposal on Dec. 21st.

Calling All Candy!

Do you have Halloween candy left over?  Save it for the upcoming Gingerbread House event in December.  We need all kinds of candy to decorate the gingerbread house on Wed., Dec. 17th following the Boy Scout Spaghetti Dinner.  Plan on joining us for dinner & stay to decorate your very own gingerbread house.  It’s fun and it tastes great too!

Giving Thanks

November is a time when we pause to give thanks for the blessings in our lives.  It is also a time when we remember that there are others who are not as fortunate and find themselves in need.  Briarcliff supports the NETWorks cooperative ministry which helps persons in need in the Northlake-Embry Hills-Tucker area.  We also support the N.E.T. Food Pantry with donations of Tuna & Pork and Beans.  As you are able, during the month of November, we encourage you to consider a monetary gift to NETWorks and/or a donation of canned goods for the food pantry.  Checks should be made payable to Briarcliff specifying NETWorks.  Canned goods can be placed in the containers located in the Education Building & the Fellowship Hall.
