Welcome to Briarcliff UMC's Children and Family Ministries!

Children and their families are very important to the members of this congregation. We are constantly looking for creative and meaningful programs and ministries that will provide a safe, nurturing, and exciting atmosphere in which children can learn and grow in their faith. Our staff and volunteers are highly dedicated to working with you and your child, and seek to follow Christ's mandate, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). Please do not hesitate to contact me or any of our volunteers with any questions or concerns you may have. We would love to hear from you.

Sunday School

Through the United Methodist curriculum "Exploring Faith," children use crafts, storytelling, music and more to learn the stories of the Bible in a fun and loving environment! Classes meet 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Younger Elementary (Ages 4 through 1st Grade) meets in Room 109
Older Elementary (Grades 2-5) meets in room 203.

Nursery

Nursery services are provided each Sunday morning from 9:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Wednesday night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for children from birth to 3 years of age in room 105. Our highly qualified nursery volunteers and staff work very hard to ensure that your child is not only safe but also that he/she has a blast while you attend worship services or many of our other programs.

Children's Choir

Children 4 years of age through 5th grade will meet Sunday Mornings from 10:00-10:30 a.m. in room 107 to sing, dance, play and learn of God's unfailing love for them. Our Children's Choir sings in our 11:00 Sunday morning service once a month and performs a Christmas Pageant before our Christmas Eve Service.
