MinistriesSeasons offers Sunday school experiences for all ages based on the lectionary readings used in worship each week. Children, youth, parents and guardians will explore the mystery of the Bible, usually in separate classes, occasionally together, and respond both in class and in worship. Participating in Seasons offers families opportunities to discuss the Bible and their faith on common ground. To help us grow in faith, Briarcliff offers a variety of educational opportunities on Sundays and throughout the week. Click the link above to view a list of classes and our current brochure. Briarcliff United Methodist Church welcomes you our Children's Ministry. We welcome all children and their families as we open our arms with God's love. We take seriously our promise to "so order our loves after the example of Christ, that these children, surrounded by steadfast love, may be established in the faith, and confirmed and strengthened in the way that leads to life eternal." (United Methodist Hymnal, p.44) We provide opportunities for active exploration of the Bible within a loving, accepting environment. Young Disciples at Briarcliff invite all teens, 6th through 12th grades, to join us as we explore God's Word and how to live it out in the world. This small, talented group is dreaming big. Don't you want to help us live out those dreams, both ours and yours? We believe that music is a gift from God, given to bring us closer to Him. We incorporate many different styles of music into our worship services: classical, contemporary Christian, spirituals, gospel, and traditional. Our music ministry welcomes all levels of talent. Constant Love is an adult day care program provided at Briarcliff on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00am until 3:00pm. Volunteer opportunities are available for this ministry. If you have a skill or talent that you would like to share or just have a calling for this ministry, please contact Kevin St.Clair at 404-636-2336 or send an email. Briarcliff United Methodist Church strives to follow the example of Jesus by reaching out to people in need. We are a community church involved in missions and outreach programs in our immediate area as well as throughout North Georgia. Friends Eating And Sharing Together, FEAST for short, are small groups of church folks that get together once a month to enjoy a meal and wonderful fellowship. The organized unit of United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church. Members of the prayer shawl team meet the second Monday of each month to share their talents knitting & crocheting prayer shawls, lap blankets, and small crib blankets. All are welcome to join the fun, no experience is necessary. Emily Mitchell facilitates the group.
