Yoga with Mariam

Mariam Gilmer has been offering Hatha yoga classes at Briarcliff United Methodist Church since October 2008.

While Mariam has had special training in yoga with seniors, kids and expectant mothers, the ongoing classes that she offers are designed for mixed level with the goal of helping participants create balance and flexibility in their bodies and to complement their daily activities through mindful presence at the time of practice.

Mariam hopes that you not only benefit physically from practicing yoga, but also you find clarity in mind and joyfulness in spirit. We practice the poses to create strength, flexibility, endurance and balance while focusing on our breathing. The experience is of non-judgment and non-competition.

Class times at Briarcliff UMC are as follows:
Tuesdays at 10:30 am
Wednesdays at 6:00 pm

The cost is based on $10.00 per class for monthly commitments and $15.00 for drop in.

Mariam also offers private lessons, gift certificates, retreats, and birthday or other special occasions' parties.
