Michelle Roueché is the Director of Music at Brenau University. Equally skilled at the keyboard and the conductor’s podium, she directs the Brenau Chamber Choir, the Lanier Chamber Singers, and teaches conducting and voice. Choirs under her direction have appeared at numerous Georgia Music Educator conventions, as well as the Southern Division of the American Choral Directors Association. Published by Treble Clef Music and Choral Web Publishing, Dr. Roueché’s compositions have been featured at various ACDA and All-State conventions, GMEA, and the Southeastern ACDA Women’s Choral festival.
An accomplished pianist, she has collaborated with some of America’s foremost opera singers, including Susan Graham, Kristin Clayton, Mary Jane Johnson, and Edward Pleasant. She has performed in Carnegie Hall under the baton of Robert Shaw, and also appeared as an Artist-in-Residence at North Carolina State University. Prior to Brenau, Dr. Roueché served on the faculties of Waldorf College (Iowa) and Arizona State University.
